1. Summary

We want MLA Prep to be worth every penny. If it isn't working for you, we offer a straightforward 7-day money-back guaranteeon your one-off lifetime purchase. Because it doesn't auto-renew, there's nothing to cancel — pay once and your access is yours for good.

2. 7-day money-back guarantee

If you've bought lifetime access and it doesn't fit what you need, email us within 7 days of purchase for a full refund. No clinical viva required.

On approval we revoke access immediately and process the refund to your original payment method.

3. Legacy weekly subscribers

If you signed up before we moved to one-off access (when the site sold weekly subscriptions at £4.99/week), your subscription continues to renew until you cancel. You can cancel any time from the “Manage billing” button on your account page — cancellation stops future charges immediately, and you keep access until the end of your current paid week.

Refunds on legacy weekly renewals are limited to the 7-day money-back window on your first weekly charge. We don't pro-rate subsequent weeks.

4. After the 7-day window

Outside of the 7-day window, refunds are at our discretion. We consider them case-by-case — for example, if you had a serious technical issue we couldn't resolve, or a genuinely exceptional circumstance. Get in touch and tell us what happened.

5. How to request a refund

Email support@mlaprep.co.uk from the address on your MLA Prep account with:

  • The email on your account.
  • The approximate date of the payment you'd like refunded.
  • One line on why — we don't interrogate, but it helps us improve the product.

6. Processing & timing

Eligible refunds are processed within 5 working days of approval and issued back to the original payment method via our payment partner, Dodo Payments. Depending on your bank, it can take a further 3–10 days to show on your statement.

Once a refund is issued, access to paid features ends immediately.

7. Exclusions

  • We may decline refund requests where there's evidence of account sharing, scraping, or other breaches of our Terms of Service.
  • Chargebacks filed with your card issuer before contacting us will suspend the account while we investigate.

8. Your statutory rights

This policy sits on top of your statutory consumer rights under UK and EU law and does not replace them. Under the UK's Consumer Contracts Regulations, purchases of digital content are generally excluded from the 14-day cooling-off period once you've started using the service — but nothing in this policy limits any right you have that cannot lawfully be excluded.
